Blue Roots –
Once in a while unknown forces bring together the right mix of
talent, energy, and passion for making music that is new, fresh
and distinctive. Blue Roots is an example of the magic and
spirit.
Blue Roots is dedicated to the traditions that have been steeped
in bluegrass music yet has an approach that listeners in and
outside the genre can appreciate.
This Philadelphia area bluegrass band consists of Geoff Gay,
resonator guitar, Richie Kalikow on mandolin, Dave Lucas on
guitar, Ed Lick plays banjo, and Owen O’Malley on bass.
Blue Roots is an ensemble that features strong lead and
harmony vocal, melodic instrumentation - all backed with
driving rhythm.
